Students of Index Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Indore brought pride to the institution by delivering an outstanding performance at the national-level conference CAHO Diagnosticon 2026. The prestigious conference witnessed participation from more than 250 delegates from different states of the country, where various important topics related to healthcare and medical research were presented and discussed. Among the participants, Palash Agnihotri and Divita Bhandari, second-year MBBS students (2023 batch), achieved remarkable success by securing First and Second positions respectively in the Oral Presentation Competition. Their achievement reflects the strong academic environment and research-oriented learning culture promoted at Index Medical College.

Dean Dr. Sanjeev Narang congratulated the students, faculty members, and the management of the institution for this remarkable accomplishment. He stated that the success of the students is a result of their dedication, hard work, and the quality education provided at Index Medical College. The students achieved this recognition under the guidance of Dr. Ramnath Karicheri, Professor in the Department of Microbiology. With his mentorship and academic support, the students prepared extensively on their research topic and delivered an impactful presentation that impressed the judges and audience alike.

During the competition, Palash Agnihotri and Divita Bhandari presented their research on “Prevention and Control of Hospital-Acquired Infections.” Their presentation highlighted important measures to prevent infections in hospitals, improve patient safety, and enhance the quality of healthcare services. The judges appreciated the clarity, depth, and relevance of their research. CAHO Diagnosticon 2026, held at the auditorium of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, was a national-level conference themed “Empowering Healthcare through Excellence.” The conference focused on advancing healthcare through modern technologies, promoting accurate diagnostics, and strengthening healthcare systems to support the vision of a self-reliant India.
