Index Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Malwanchal University, proudly celebrates the remarkable international achievement of Dr. Saichand Paruchuri, Junior Resident (JR-2) in the Department of General Surgery. Representing India at the Sri Lanka Surgical Congress (SLSC) 2025) held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Dr. Paruchuri presented his innovative research on “Vacuum-Assisted Closure (VAC) Therapy in Fournier’s Gangrene.” The prestigious congress was jointly organized by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the South Asian Surgical Care Society, attracting renowned surgeons and researchers from Asia and Europe. Among all the participants, Dr. Paruchuri was the only representative from Madhya Pradesh, and his research was widely appreciated for its scientific excellence and clinical significance. His poster was also published in the supplement edition of the Sri Lanka Journal of Surgery, marking an outstanding milestone for both him and Index Medical College. Index Group of Institutions Chairman Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria and Vice Chairman Mr. Mayank Raj Singh Bhadoria commended this global recognition, expressing immense pride in the institute’s growing global presence in medical education and research. Dr. Paruchuri’s research focused on the clinical application and effectiveness of VAC therapy in the treatment of Fournier’s Gangrene, a severe and rapidly spreading soft tissue infection. His study demonstrated that this modern therapeutic approach can significantly reduce recovery time, improve infection control, and enhance patient outcomes. The innovative use of VAC therapy highlights the advancement of evidence-based surgical techniques and reflects Index Medical College’s commitment to medical innovation and academic excellence. This success underscores the institute’s vision, under the leadership of Chairman Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria and Vice Chairman Mr. Mayank Raj Singh Bhadoria, to promote research-driven healthcare that benefits both national and international medical communities. This outstanding accomplishment was made possible under the expert guidance of Dr. Amit Katlana and Dr. Sanjay Patidar, with constant encouragement from Dean Dr. G.S. Patel. The management of Index Group of Institutions — Chairman Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Vice Chairman Mr. Mayank Raj Singh Bhadoria, and Vice Chancellor Dr. Sanjeev Narang — extended their heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Saichand Paruchuri for his remarkable achievement. They emphasized that his success reflects the institution’s mission to nurture globally competent healthcare professionals and uphold the Index Group’s reputation as a leading center of medical education, research, and innovation.
