The Basic Course in Medical Education (BCME) Workshop was successfully conducted from 3rd to 5th July 2025 at Index Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Indore. Organized under the aegis of the NMC Academic Cell, Regional Centre for Medical Education Technologies, SAIMS, Indore, this academic initiative reflects the vision and guidance of Chairman Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria and Vice Chairman Mr. Mayankraj Singh Bhadoria, who consistently support faculty development and academic excellence within the institution. A total of 30 participants from various departments took part in the program, which focused on modern teaching–learning methodologies, curriculum planning, assessment strategies, and the foundations of competency-based medical education. Through interactive sessions and hands-on activities, participants gained essential insights to enhance their teaching practices in line with NMC standards. The workshop was conducted by an experienced team from the Medical Education Unit (MEU) of the institute, whose expertise ensured high-quality academic delivery. The resource faculty included Dr. Romi Srivastava (MEU Coordinator), Dr. G. S. Patel, Dr. Prem Nyati, Dr. Swati Prashant, Dr. Aarti Sahasrabuddhe, Dr. Rahul Tanwani, Dr. Ramnath, Dr. Shreya, and Dr. Pooja Deodhar. Their sessions covered vital components of medical education technology, including student engagement strategies, competency mapping, lesson planning, feedback mechanisms, and effective assessment tools. The interactive approach encouraged collaboration among participants and strengthened their teaching competencies, contributing significantly to the overall success of the workshop. The National Medical Commission observer appointed for the workshop, Dr. Praveen Arora, Professor and Head, Department of Forensic Medicine, SAIMS, Indore, ensured that all sessions adhered to NMC guidelines. He appreciated the well-organized, systematic execution of the workshop and commended the institute for its commitment to academic quality. The successful completion of the BCME workshop stands as a testament to the strong leadership of the management and the dedication of the faculty at Index Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre.
