Index Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, under the aegis of Malwanchal University, successfully hosted a two-day national conference METCON 2025 on 5th and 6th June 2025. The event brought together leading experts from AIIMS, Armed Forces Medical College AFMC, and top super-specialty hospitals across India. Focused on Emergency Medicine and Trauma Services, the conference emphasized the importance of timely and effective medical intervention in life-threatening situations. The program was held under the visionary leadership of Chairman Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Vice Chairman Mr. Mayankraj Singh Bhadoria, and Chancellor Mrs. Gauri Singh Bhadoria.

The conference featured keynote sessions from eminent medical professionals including Brigadier Dr. Ashok Puranik AIIMS, Brigadier Retired Dr. Chetan Sood AFMC, and Dr. Chetan Pradhan Sancheti Hospital. Discussions revolved around critical care practices, damage control orthopedics, the Golden Hour in trauma, and new-age emergency response systems. Speakers highlighted that accidents occur every 2 to 3 minutes in India, underlining the urgent need to strengthen emergency infrastructure and medical preparedness. Special sessions also covered medico-legal aspects, airway and shock management, polytrauma care, and disaster response protocols. The conference aimed to equip medical professionals with modern tools and knowledge to handle real-time emergencies effectively.

Organized with the active support of Dean Dr. G.S. Patel, Conference Coordinator Dr. Ajay Singh Thakur, and Medical Superintendent Dr. Swati Prashant, METCON 2025 served as a collaborative platform for sharing expertise, innovations, and practical strategies in emergency medicine.
