In a significant step towards promoting holistic wellness and mental health awareness, Index Medical College, under the aegis of Malwanchal University, hosted a Yoga and Meditation Camp in collaboration with the Isha Foundation. Held within the college premises, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members. The camp was conducted by trained volunteers from Isha Yoga, who guided participants through scientifically structured sessions focusing on physical well-being and inner balance. The initiative was aimed at helping students cope with academic and emotional stress through the ancient yet timeless practices of yoga and meditation.

During the session, Isha Foundation volunteers emphasized that yoga is not merely a form of physical exercise but a comprehensive system that fosters awareness and a deeper understanding of oneself. They introduced participants to the “Miracle of Mind” a guided seven-minute meditation created by Sadhguru, designed to support individuals in managing their mental health with simple daily practices. The volunteers explained how regular yoga and meditation can empower individuals to make conscious life choices, ultimately leading to improved emotional resilience, clarity of thought, and better physical health.

The college honored the Isha Foundation team members Mr. Shubhrend Pandit, Mr. Vaibhav Bhargav, Ms. Lakshmi Bhadoria, and Mr. Shubham Mandli with mementos as a token of appreciation for their contribution. The event was graced by key dignitaries of Malwanchal University including Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sanjeev Narang, Dean Dr. G.S. Patel, Dr. Ramgulam Razdan, Dr. Sudhir Maurya, and Dr. Atul Vyas, along with the faculty. The session concluded on a positive note, with students expressing gratitude for the opportunity to explore practical tools for stress relief and self-awareness. This collaboration reflects Index Medical College’s continued commitment to fostering an environment that supports not only academic excellence but also the mental and emotional well-being of its students.
