Index Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre is proud to announce that Dr. Saichand Paruchuri, a 2nd-year Postgraduate Resident in General Surgery, has been awarded the Late Dr. Mrs. Saroj Upadhyay Gold Medal for Best Postgraduate Paper at the 8th MP-CG Chapter Conference of the Indian Association of Paediatric Surgeons (IAPS) and the 1st Conference of the Society of Pediatric Thoracic Surgeons (SPTSCon 2025). The event was held on 21st July 2025 at the IRCAD India Centre, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS), Indore. Dr. Saichand’s paper, titled “Early Diversion Improves the Outcomes in Borderline Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC) – A Case Series,” was highly appreciated for its clinical significance and innovative approach in improving neonatal outcomes.
