Index Medical College, Indore, continues to make its mark in the field of medical excellence. At the prestigious Central India Hematology Summit 2025, held on 7th and 8th June at Brilliant Convention Centre (Nakshatra), Indore, Dr. Meghraj Singh from the Department of Medicine brought laurels to the institution by securing first place in the poster competition. The summit focused on blood disorders and cancer, attracting participation from a wide range of specialists in general medicine, pediatrics, and pathology from across the region and beyond. Dr. Singh presented an innovative poster on the latest and rapid diagnostic marker MDW for ICU infections, a parameter unaffected by cancer or immunocompromised conditions and was adjudged the best among all entries.

His research not only earned praise from the organizing committee, led by Dr. Vinay Bohra, but also from his esteemed guides Dr. Sudhir Maurya, Dr. Sanjeev Narang, and Dr. Bushra Khanam. Dr. Singh was felicitated on stage with a certificate and a cash prize in recognition of his outstanding work. Additionally, he presented a rare and insightful case on sickle-thalassemia during the same summit, further highlighting the department’s focus on academic excellence and clinical innovation.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Meghraj Singh (MD Medicine) emphasized the importance of early diagnosis in the treatment of blood-related disorders and cancers. He remarked that with timely detection, many of these conditions are completely curable, making awareness and preventive diagnostics essential for public health.
